When will anybody understand me
Why am I constantly let down
By myself or my hometown
I had my problem under control
They took my meds no, they stole
I cannot function I cannot think
I can only express all this in ink
What if you were put in my shoes

If people criticized your only crutch
Simply cause laws dis it so much
If you feared the fate of your dad
Realizing your cure is what you had
Knowing you can’t be normal without
Overrun by memories, thoughts, and doubt
Emotions multiply the effects times ten
Joy and sadness cause confusion within
Concentration goes right out the door
Goals and dreams mean nothing anymore
Your only speech is paper and pens
Words get jumbled and don’t make sense
